What is a chemical peel?

  • Chemical peels are the application of chemical solution topically to the face. These chemical peels improve the skin's appearance by exfoliating the skin, increasing cell turnover (the process of removing dead skin cells so that new cells can replace them), clearing out the pores, and stimulating collagen/elastin production.
  • Chemical peels can help improve many skin concerns such as uneven skin tone and texture, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, clogged pores, and acne.
  • For best results, peels will likely be recommended in a series about every 4 weeks or in combination with other services.
  • In offices where there are aestheticians, these will be done by the aestheticians only. In offices where there are no aestheticians, this service is still offered by the provider.

  • The application of the peel is customizable. The peels are applied in layers which ensures that the proper treatment is given for the client's skin tolerance.
